Le bureau actuel de l’AIF pour la période 2025-2028 est l’instance dirigeante de l’Alliance Internationale des Femmes. Il guide la mission mondiale de l’alliance qui vise à promouvoir les droits des femmes, l’égalité des sexes et l’autonomisation des femmes dans le monde entier.
Il est composé de la présidente, de la secrétaire générale, de la trésorière et jusqu’à 15 membres supplémentaires, soutenus par des vice-présidentes régionales, des coordinatrices régionales, des coordinatrices des commissions, des représentantes auprès des Nations unies et d’autres instances internationales, ainsi que des chefs des comités formant le conseil d’administration élargi. Les membres exercent leurs fonctions pendant le triennat en cours et supervisent les programmes, le plaidoyer international, les finances et la gouvernance de l’AIF.

Alison Brown - États-Unis
Représentante auprès des Nations Unies en tant que Directrice Générale
Alison Brown est une féministe engagée, chercheuse, historienne spécialiste des femmes et écrivaine qui consacre sa vie à la promotion des droits des femmes. Membre de l’Alliance Internationale des Femmes (AIF) depuis plus de 30 ans, elle a joué un rôle central dans l’élaboration des activités de plaidoyer et de rayonnement mondial de l’organisation. Elle a représenté l’AIF à la Conférence des Nations Unies sur les droits de l’homme à Vienne en 1993 et a participé à une session de l’Organisation Internationale du Travail.
Alison a occupé le poste de secrétaire générale de 2002 à 2007 et a coorganisé et animé la célébration du centenaire de l’AIF à Berlin en 2004. De 2004 à 2010, elle a été cheffe de la délégation auprès des Nations Unies à Vienne, où elle a défendu les droits humains des femmes sur la scène internationale. Entre 2002 et 2013, elle a géré le contenu web de l’organisation sur womenalliance.org, assurant sa présence et son accessibilité à l’échelle mondiale. De 2010 à 2020, elle a dirigé le comité électoral de l’IAW, veillant à la transparence et au caractère démocratique des processus.
Élue présidente de l’AIF pour la période 2022-2025 et réélue pour la période 2025-2028, Alison continue de diriger l’organisation avec vision et dévouement, en défendant l’égalité des sexes et l’autonomisation des femmes dans le monde entier. Son travail reflète un engagement de toute une vie en faveur de la recherche féministe, du militantisme et de la défense des droits à l’échelle mondiale.

Représentant auprès des Nations Unies en tant que chef de l'administration
Antonia Lavine is a lawyer with over 20-year experience in criminal prosecution, litigation, and oversight. She holds a J.D. from Sofia State University Kliment Ohridski and Master of Laws in International Legal Studies and United States Legal Studies from the San Francisco Golden Gate University School of Law.
As a public prosecutor, chief judicial inspector and criminal law expert in Europe, she specialised in law enforcement, justice reform and legislative action. With law degrees in both the civil and common law legal systems, Antonia is consulted regularly for her comparative and international law expertise and has served on numerous government, UN, and NGO-sponsored projects. She has directly contributed to drafting various pieces of domestic and international legislation, including the European Convention on Action Against Trafficking in Human Beings, and served for several years as an appointed expert on the European Union’s Group of Experts on Trafficking in Human Beings.
In her current positions as Director of the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking, Secretary General of the International Alliance of Women, and Executive Director of the National Council of Jewish Women San Francisco, Antonia utilises her legal expertise and project management skills in cross collaboration, policy reform and advocacy action.

Andrea Carlise - États-Unis
Andrea Carlise is an attorney with 35 years of legal experience. As corporate counsel for Old Republic Title, she provides legal advice and counsel to the company’s Western Title Division. She spent over 25 years in civil litigation, specializing in employment law. Prior to working for Old Republic Title, she worked as the Executive Director of the International Action Network for Gender Equity & Law.
In addition to serving as IAW’s Treasurer, Andrea serves on the board of the National Council of Jewish Women – San Francisco. She is a fierce and passionate advocate for gender equity, diversity, and inclusion. Andrea is a past president of both the National Conference of Women’s Bar Associations (NCWBA) and California Women Lawyers. She was the NCWBA’s Liaison to the American Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession, co-chairing its sexual harassment committee. She served on the board of Queen’s Bench Bar Association of the San Francisco Bay Area, and received its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021. Andrea is also a past president of her local Girls Inc., which is empowering girls through educational and community programming.

Iliana Balabanova - Bulgarie
Iliana Balabanova is an experienced leader, researcher, and advocate in the fields of women’s human rights, gender equality, and the prevention of violence against women and girls. She is the Co-founder and President of the Bulgarian Platform of the European Women’s Lobby, a role she has held since 2003, and served as President of the European Women’s Lobby from 2023 to 2025.
Since 2023 Iliana is member of the Experts’ Forum of the European Institute for Gender Equality, representing a non-governmental organisations at Union level.
With over three decades of experience, Iliana has led international projects, coordinated multi-stakeholder coalitions, and contributed to shaping EU and national policies on gender-based violence, anti-discrimination, and gender mainstreaming.
She is highly skilled in policy analysis, lobbying, and capacity building, and has a proven track record of influencing legislation, training professionals, and bridging civil society, government, and media sectors. Fluent in several languages, Iliana is widely recognized for her dedication to systemic change and her deep commitment to gender justice and equality.

Dr. Sibylle von Heydebrand – Suisse
Dr. Sibylle von Heydebrand est une juriste suisse qui a étudié à Genève et à Bâle et qui est
titulaire d'un doctorat en droit de l’université de Bâle. Elle est une experte reconnue en
droits politiques et une chargée de cours expérimentée. En novembre 2024, elle a reçu
l’Outstanding Leadership Icon Award à la Chambre des Lords, à Londres.
Sibylle est une leader active au sein de l’Alliance internationale des femmes (AIF), élue à son Bureau en 2022 et occupant, depuis 2024, le poste de vice-présidente. Elle représente l’AIF en tant que principale représentante auprès des Nations unies à Genève, en tant que
représentante auprès de l’UNESCO à Paris, et en tant que représentante auprès de l’Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT). Depuis 2023, elle agit comme cheffe de
délégation à la Commission de la condition de la femme des Nations unies à New York. Elle
représente également l’AIF auprès de l’ONG CSW Genève et exerce la fonction d’auditrice
financier.
Passionnée par la promotion de l’égalité des genres, Sibylle oeuvre à renforcer le rôle des femmes et des filles dans la société et à souligner l’importance de la contribution des femmes à la vie politique et civique. Elle s’engage tout particulièrement à accroître la visibilité de l’Alliance internationale des femmes, à amplifier la voix de ses jeunes membres et à préparer l’organisation à l’avenir en modernisant sa communication et sa structure.
Anuarite Siirewabo Muyuwa is the national coordinator of SOFEDEC and a gender specialist who has been involved for many years in promoting and defending the rights of women and children in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
A lawyer by training, Anuarite holds a bachelor’s degree in private and judicial law and also practises as a legal defender at the High Court of Kavumu, in South Kivu province.
During her career, she has coordinated several projects to combat gender-based violence, implemented with the support of partners such as UNFPA, UNICEF, the Humanitarian Fund and Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe, in collaboration with the NGO TPO RDC.
A member of the IAW Board since 2015, Anuarite coordinated Francophone Africa from 2016 to 2022. She was appointed as Regional Vice President for Francophone Africa in November 2025 for a three-year term.
Artemis Westenberg is a Dutch lobbyist and negotiator. She holds an M.A. in History, & in Islam, with International Relations as a minor, from Leiden University. She is an expert on women’s political rights – a veracious fighter and speaker.
As President of Dutch Association for Women’s Interests, Women’s Work and Equal Citizenship, one of the founding members of the IAW in 1904, Artemis is very vocal about what women need to be that equal citizen.
Artemis cannot stand discrimination of any kind. Each one of us has the right to have a life without the impediments of bias dictating what those lives should be.
At present Artemis fights for women’s health in peri/post-menopause. Like abortion, bio-identical hormone replacement therapy including Testosterone should be offered to women, who then can decide whether this is the route they need, or not.
Next to that Artemis ensured at the CSW69 that in 2026 ‘Older Women’ are a focal point for the UN, next to the years theme of ‘Access to Justice for all Women and Girls’, as for 30 years (after Beijing) Older Women have been a completely forgotten part of humanity, making women over 50 suffer needlessly in all factors of live.
Manju Kak has been a development journalist, television commentator, media advocate (Whose Media? A Woman’s Space), author, and champion of women’s rights, serving as Hon. Secretary General of the All India Women’s Conference (AIWC) – India’s largest NGO, founded in 1927.
With 27 years in the voluntary sector, she advances justice, peace and gender equality through grassroots projects, national seminars and international forums, including as former Vice President of the International Alliance of Women and Convener of its Peace Commission.
Her literary works include short fiction collections like First Light in Colonelpura, Requiem for an Unsung Revolutionary and Just One Life, alongside Ph.D.-rooted books on Himalayan art and culture, such as In the Shadow of the Devi.
Dr Meenakshi Kumar is an Indian Gender Studies scholar, author, and social activist with over two decades of multidisciplinary experience in women’s empowerment, social development, and communication for change. She holds an Honorary Doctorate in Literature and a PhD in Gender Studies from IGNOU, supported by academic qualifications in Finance and Business Management from Delhi University and Symbiosis.
A Lifetime Member of the All India Women’s Conference (AIWC), Meenakshi has served in key leadership roles, including Honorary Secretary, Editorial Advisor, and Editor of ROSHNI, the organisation’s flagship quarterly. Her work has centred on gender mainstreaming, climate action, women’s health, and peacebuilding.
Meenakshi is the published author of three books – Everyday Vegetarian Cooking, In the Game of Love: one step forward two steps back and Kaleidoscope – and has been featured nationally and internationally for her contributions to social transformation. Simge Simsek est une juriste suisse et titulaire d’un Master en droit (MLaw) de l’Université de Bâle. Elle effectue actuellement un stage juridique auprès de l’Administration fiscale du canton de Bâle-Campagne, avec un accent sur le droit fiscal. En 2026, elle poursuivra sa formation juridique par un stage dans un cabinet d’avocats suisse, suivi d’un stage en entreprise chez Novartis, une entreprise pharmaceutique internationale de premier plan, avec une spécialisation en droit du travail. Elle prévoit de se présenter à l’examen du barreau en 2027.
Son expérience professionnelle antérieure comprend un poste en tant qu’assistante juridique, responsable du secrétariat juridique chez Lonza Group AG, une société multinationale suisse de fabrication active dans les secteurs pharmaceutique, biotechnologique et nutritionnel. Simge a également travaillé comme assistante juridique dans un cabinet d’avocats suisse, ce qui lui a permis de renforcer encore ses compétences juridiques et organisationnelles.
Depuis 2023, Simge est Représentante suppléante de l’Alliance Internationale des Femmes
(AIF) auprès des Nations Unies à Genève. En juillet 2025, elle a été nommée Cheffe du
Groupe de travail sur les descriptions de poste et de processus.
