International Alliance of Women (IAW) observes with shudder/absolute outrage and denounces in its entirety, the gruesome, dastardly wounding and massacre of innocent school children of the Mother Francisca International Bilingual Academy in Kumba, South West Cameroon on 24th October 2020.
It is reliably reported that in the horrific, senseless attack by yet unidentified gunmen, at least eight of these children lost their lives, whilst twelve were critically injured within the four walls of their academy, in the exercise of their fundamental right to rudimentary education.
The Alliance hereby declares emphatically that the brazen slaughter and maiming of mere children in any circumstance is utterly obnoxious and categorically unacceptable. Such an act is not only inhuman, it is downright criminal and must be condemned universally as a perilous threat to Justice and the rule of law globally.
We vehemently appeal to the government of the State of Cameroon to put in place all possible measures in ensuring the immediate apprehension and prosecution of the perpetrators of this atrocious crime, without further ado.
In the same vein, we fervently urge all combatants in that country to shield their swords towards an enduring, peaceful means of resolution of the on-going Cameroonian conflict at this time.
IAW profoundly commiserates with the bereaved and their families in their current state of anguish. It is our hope that the injured are restored quickly to perfect health, physically and psychologically. Moreover, it is our fervent prayer that Cameroon (and indeed, the world) never again experiences such ruthless, unwarranted carnage and act of violence against mere children, as has occurred in this instance.

I had not heard of this terrible event and commend the writer for expressing outrage and horror and asking for support from the world community. Well written. Keep up the pressure to shame these people into action and heightened mindfulness. They need to be reminded that children are precious, are entitled to an education and others care and are watching.
