Sanja Jeraj – Head of Delegation

Sanja holds an MSc in Engineering and is a marketing specialist, technical writer, mediator, and Ikebana instructor. Experienced in different political and social systems through migration, Sanja is fluent in German, Croatian, and English, with conversational French and basic knowledge of Spanish, Polish, and Russian. Sanja currently serves at IAW as Head of Delegation to the Council of Europe, as inaugural Accredited Interest Representative to the European Parliament, and as first Representative to the UN Bonn Campus, after representing IAW at the UNOG and CSW, and independently managing IAW’s website, social media channels, and newsletter communications. Heleen Jansen – delegate

Heleen Jansen, a Dutch national now living in France, worked for over 25 years as a professor of French and teacher training in the Netherlands, also involved in student care and health education. For the last 15 years, she has been active as author and editor-in-chief of new educational methods and materials, including materials for European projects centred on democratic citizenship and human rights education. She is vice-chairman of the Dutch section of the AEDE, the European Teachers Association, and as its representative in the Council of Europe’s ONG conference, has been an active member of the working group ‘Gender Perspectives in Democratic and Political Processes,’ chaired by Anje Wiersinga.

Marion Böker - delegate and Board member of EWL

Marion Böker is the founder and director of Consultancy for Human Rights & Gender Issues, Berlin, since 2004 . She works as a consultant on international, regional, and local level for the implementation of human rights of individuals and groups by interventions, campaigns, or complaints under the UN Human Rights Treaties. She provides expertise for Civil Society Organizations, administration and politics and serves as an expert on the implementation of Gender Budgeting. She has a focus on the UNSCR 1325 “Women, Peace and Security” and offers capacity building trainings for human rights and peace activists.

Maitre Paulette Oyane Ondo

Paulette Oyane Ondo is a lawyer at the Bar of Gabon. She is a human rights defender and Expert to the African Union in human rights, democracy, election and governance. She created the first human rights NGO in Gabon: The Center for the Promotion of Democracy and the Defense of Human Rights (CDDH). In 2013 she received the Human Rights Prize for Central Africa from the Pan-African Network of Human Rights Defenders.

Diedre Pierro

Deirdre Pirro is an international lawyer. She has been the International Relations Officer with the International Court of the Environment Foundation (ICEF) since its inception. Her role is to coordinate ICEF’s Organising Committees throughout the world which lobby for the creation of the Court, to assist in the preparation of its international and national conferences and help in the production of its documentation and in editing of its numerous publications. She also write a monthly column called The Final Say for The Florentine, an English-language newspaper.
