Banner Commission on the Status on Women

The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is the principal global intergovernmental body dedicated exclusively to promoting gender equality and the empowerment of women. Established by ECOSOC resolution 11(II) on 21 June 1946, CSW documents the realities of women’s lives worldwide, shapes global standards, and advances women’s rights.
You can learn more about CSW on the UN Women website.

IAW actively engages with CSW to advance the goals set by the Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing (1995) and the Beijing Platform for Action. The full report is available here.
