US IAW members pay tribute to late President Jimmy Carter
USA President Jimmy Carter gave American women a foothold and hope for human rights. His leadership, faith, and political will led him to sign the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination Against Women.
We express our gratitude for his visionary feminism with a grateful nation and world.

His book “A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence and Power” is as timely today as it was when he first wrote it, a decade ago.
Watching the funeral today was heart wrenching. We will not be hearing such words spoken about the incoming US President.
To the very end, President Carter strengthened feminism and defended democratic values. He cast his vote for the potential first woman president of the United States.
The outcome of the election was dramatically unfavourable, and not just for feminism.
Jimmy Carter will not live to see the consequences.
He did everything right. Chapeau!
